A business idea competition organized by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, a New Orleans-area non-profit, and The Idea Village, a group that focuses on retaining south Louisiana business talent, could make you win $50, 000 and a chance to turn your idea into a business plan. The groups are starting a "Water Challenge" aiming to launch business with innovative ideas about how we can live with water in South Louisiana.
"We are looking to be a catalyst to encourage our community to create lasting, scalable solutions by turning one of the region's greatest threats into one of our greatest assets," said Tim Williamson, co-founder and CEO of The Idea Village. Interested entrepreneurs can apply at www.ideavillage.org until midnight Feb. 21.
