One of the more necessary industries in today's technological society is the computer industry. This claim is reinforced by recent small business PC Sales quarterly growth charts. In a day when children don't know what it was like in a world without every home having one or multiple computers – and surely not a world where one had to change TV channels manually (or worse, a world without TVs!) – computers have proven their importance to consumers by showing continuous growth even in the face of an economic crisis.

No only has the computer market shown to defy the psychologically-implied "bad economy laws" by showing steady growth, but companies like Intel have entirely defied the hypothetical laws of "economy-physics" with massive growths of 433% in one quarter!

It almost seems that consumers care more about having a computer than even basic needs, considering the massive work layoffs over the past few years have left many without jobs. Where consumers come up with the money for new and top-of-the-line computer systems in an economy where seasoned and valuable employees are being laid off, really doesn't matter. Companies like Intel and Apple are just glad to be buying their executives lavish houses and exotic vehicles while many Americans can't afford to eat. It is a trend that never seems to die.
